It aids in creating collagen (bones, skin and connective tissue), melanin  hair and skin pigmentation) and myeline (nerve fibers). Copper also acts as an antioxidant and reduces the risk of damaging DNA and cells. It also aids in the absorption of iron and sugar. Great sources of copper: dried apricots, lentils, mushrooms, beef liver, dark chocolate, asparagus and almonds.
