wrong friend

Wrong Friend

Approached by two,
One of which,
Says and does,
Everything right,
The other,
Stays at distance,
Yet,
Remains intriguing.

But you can’t help,
Getting wheeled in,
By the first.
For they are present,
On point,
Making it a priority,
Yet,
The fact remains,
There is nothing,
No connection,
Nothing in common.

For your connection,
Is with the other,
They are just as damaged,
As you,
And both of you,
Were always interested,
That is,
In one and other,
But at a distance.

And as time passes,
You know,
You chose the wrong one,
The wrong friend.
